FreedomWorks, a vibrant and growing free-market and limited government grassroots advocacy organization, is seeking to hire an Outreach Coordinator to assist with event organization, scheduling, emails, phone calls, special projects, and be the point person to assist in cultivating long term relationships with new and existing partners through various outreach activities listed below.
This Position will focus on BEST (What is Building Education for Students Together)
BEST (Building Education for Students Together)’s mission is to ignite a national parent-led movement by building, educating, and mobilizing the largest network of parent activists in the country to advocate for their children’s education through the election of school board members and the passage of policies that align with our vision of expanding education freedom. To achieve our mission, BEST is committed to creating a long-term impact through grassroots outreach by mobilizing our network of parent activists across the country with the purpose of uniting into state-based parent coalitions to protect parents’ rights to be their children’s primary educators and equip them with the tools to give their child and every child in their community the best opportunities possible.
Assist with implementation of new training programs or projects when applicable
Plan and coordinate events including workshops, webinars, trainings, and conferences
Coordinate and Organize recurring webinar trainings
Work with various departments to successfully execute BEST trainings and events
Update and manage internal and external event calendars
Assist program manager with tracking all BEST activity
Handle activist communication through email, phone, social media and other platforms
Routinely check in with coalition partners for local updates
Attend grassroots events as needed
Any other administrative tasks as assigned
Prior event organization/planning experience (preferred)
Prior coalition-building experience (preferred)
Ability to work independently, quickly, and under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks at the same time. Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to problem solve and analyze and explain data
Strong proficiency in MS Office and Google Suites
Flexible to work nights and weekends as required for activist events.
