We are hiring a Director to join the Special Projects team to identify, capture or resolve the highest value opportunities and problems facing Rex. You will work alongside the senior leadership teams across Rex. Project team members need high aptitude for strategically identifying problems/opportunities and are not afraid to roll up their sleeves to tackle the issues at hand. Gravitas and the ability to command the respect of a cross-functional team is needed. Successful members of the Project Team will be a pipeline for P&L leaders across the Rex ecosystem.

What you’ll do:
Identifying strategic direction and business plans for an internal venture studio
Performing benchmarking exercises and determining best practices for Rex capabilities, then driving a cross-functional team to restructure and close gaps
Analyzing investment strategies/opportunities and executing on those opportunities when necessary
Product “deep dives” across our tech company(s), identifying ways to improve the customer experience and leading initiatives to follow through on recommendations
Who you are:
An undergraduate degree with 5-7 years of experience
A strong track record of systematic thinking
Extreme character, talent, drive, and teaming ability
A strong track record of execution
An entrepreneurial nature and is not afraid to think outside the box
Extreme bias to execute
Willingness to work across a multitude of teams, capabilities, and projects
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
The ability to immediately relocate to Austin, TX
