Primary Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions:

Independently run our most frequently used reports and deliver on time. Edit, update, or optimize how we report our key metrics as new information emerges or as the business demands.
Pull lists of customers based on provided marketing filters; this means calculating customer activity and sales performance to output contact info who meet the criteria
Do “data discovery” to find marketable insights; sometimes this starts with trying to answer a broad question, sometimes it’s just seeing what emerges. In almost every case, it means figuring out what you need to answer the question, and then building your own tools or assembling your own data to move forward with your investigation
Develop and optimize a feedback loop with our media buyers and broader marketing team about creatives and audiences and how they perform
Demonstrate a deep understanding of our insight needs and our available data; work with TECH team for implementation as necessary to further optimize how we gather and validate our data


Demonstrated proficiency with general Microsoft Office applications with expertise using Excel including writing formulas for algebra, statistics, and parsing strings

Experience with relational database software or statistical software a plus
Can learn, run, optimize and update pre-created reports, delivered accurate and on-time. Can “smell test” using business context whether the data seems off
Ability to source, assemble, standardize, and operationalize data from multiple sources.
Can visualize data in meaningful charts and graphs. Ability to answer key questions using visualization; ability to process feedback and iterate.
Basic understanding of statistics & algebra
Can work in the “unknown” with broad directives and guiding questions.

Work Environment And Travel Requirements:
Works in well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts. Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office environment. Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
